One Pan BBQ Chicken Sandwiches
large sandwiches, 6 small.
salt and pepper
boneless skinless chicken thighs
trimmed of excess fat
med green bell pepper
21 oz bottle KC Masterpiece® Kansas City Classic BBQ Sauce
Bread and other sandwich toppings
Heat olive oil over medium high heat in a large skillet. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper and brown on both sides until lightly golden. Remove from pan.
Add onions and peppers to the pan and saute for 4 minutes or until tender. Return chicken to the pan and pour in BBQ sauce. Stir to coat, cover and lower heat to a simmer.
Cook 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is tender and easily shreds. Top bread with shredded chicken and any desired toppings.
