Apple Cider Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ C all purpose flour
  • 2 C chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 C good quality apple cider
  • 1 C evaporated milk
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon roasted and mashed garlic optional

Instructions

  • In a medium sized sauce pan, melt the butter, stir in flour, and let cook for 1 minute.
  • Add in broth and cider stirring consistently until it starts to thicken. Continue stirring and add in milk, salt and pepper and let simmer until it reaches your desired thickness. Stir in 1 tablespoon mashed roasted garlic if desired.
