Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ lb Italian turkey sausage casings removed
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 14.5 oz cans petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz can Manwich BOLD Sauce
  • 1 ½ C water
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 ¼ C dry elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoon fresh basil chopped

Instructions

  • Brown and crumble turkey sausage in a large soup pot on the stove top over medium heat.
  • Remove cooked sausage from the pot and set aside. Place onion and pepper in the pot and cook until softened, about 4 minutes.
  • Stir in tomatoes, Manwich BOLD, water, spices and seasonings (except for the fresh basil), and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in elbow macaroni, cover and let cook for 20 minutes or until the pasta is tender. Remove from the heat and allow to rest 10 minutes before serving to thicken.
